Earlier this month in Auckland and Wellington we hosted David Mallon (Chief Analyst) and Suzie Ramirez (Associate Vice President) from Bersin in the US. Bersin delivers research-based people strategies designed to help leaders drive exceptional business performance. They carry out a broad range of Human Capital related research, to support the HR profession in building capability, community and credibility. We were very excited to host them in New Zealand and hear directly from them about the latest research insights, benchmarks and statistics.
Across both cities, we had 50 HR and business leaders come to hear David talk. David shared with us Bersin’s recent studies on high-impact organisation design and workforce experience. We discussed how organisation design has a broader reach than just the organisational structure and reporting lines, but includes factors such as governance, decision rights, patterns of interactions and external relationships.
We also reflected on the drivers to building a dynamic and productive workforce experience, through leveraging a customer mind set and connecting business strategy to the day-to-day operations of the organisation. We had some great questions from the audience on topics such as agile workforce structures, the role of HRIS solutions in reflecting multiple views of the organisation and the hype around self-governing organisations.
